Is traveling in Europe cheaper than America?
One can’t simply say that it’s cheaper to travel in Europe than in America. There are many destinations in Europe that are cheaper places to travel to than America while there are more expensive ones that will make traveling in America look cheap. The initial answer that would come to the mind of most is “Of course, traveling in Europe is cheaper”, and I understand why one would say that, seeing that MOST destinations in Europe are cheaper than America.
We understand that everyone has their own mental definition of Europe but we define Europe as the picture depicts below. Pretty standard. So any generalization of Europe becomes invalid.
Europe Map
HOTEL PRICES

Hotel prices in Europe are cheaper in some countries than in the US because most hotels in Europe are older than the spiffy, new ones in America. Not obviously antique (for some of them at least) but just…older. There are hotels that one can stay in Europe for 20 to 30 bucks per night, and that’s crazy cheap in comparison to your average hotels in the U.S.
The US is not trying to keep you out with their high prices but, Modern=Expensive, as you know. So, hotels are on average cheaper than the ones in the US.
FOOD COSTS

We’re doing this one based on the presumption that you’re eating out. This one pretty much cancels out each other. Eating out in the U.S is not cheap. Unless you’re eating out at a fast-food restaurant.
While there are ridiculously cheap restaurants to eat out in Europe, there are still a few places that are still expensive such as Italy and the Netherlands. I guess, there are more places in Europe that are cheaper, food-wise than the US overall, but the news is that food prices are on the rise in places all over Europe so..stay up to date!
TRANSPORTATION

I’m assuming that you’re a traveler that’s looking to rent a car for however long you’ll be staying in your new destination. However, it varies. Just as how you’d be able to get cheap deals on renting a car in Europe, it’s as possible to do the same in the US. It depends on the time of the year, and where you hire from specifically so do your research depending on where you want to go. There are mostly automatic transition cars on rental in the US (which are more expensive than the manual ones) which may make it on average, more expensive.
To see a list of countries, from the cheapest to the most expensive including the week’s basic hire, a tank of petrol (40 liters) and the six extras payable on arrival at the rental desk, etc. Click here to check it out.
We can offer an often cheaper and classy alternative to hiring from the first guy that comes up to you at the airport, asking if you need a driver, etc. We did an overview on limowebchicago, click here to check it out to see if it’s for you.

NEED A VISA?
If you’re checking out this article because you’re planning on relocating or just visiting, then you might need a visa depending on where you’re going. Well duh, I’m sure you already knew that. If that’s the case, iVisa might be the perfect thing for you. The only thing you need to do is to send in your documents online, so no need to personally deal with the embassy. Afterwhich, you present your passport and the document provided by iVisa upon entry to the destination country.
