Valentine’s Day ideas for your Travel Partner
New year cheer is starting to fade, and Valentine’s day is around the corner, and most of us are already running out of valentine’s day ideas. That has always been a dilemma, isn’t so? While I don’t think that we need one day of the year to express our love, I do believe that Valentine’s day is a special occasion to treat our loved ones. If your partner is a travel lover, below is the list of some ideas for travel-themed gifts, which will stir the wanderlust in your partner.
1. Travel scratch map – One of the best travel-themed gifts
Travel is an accomplishment to many. And what’s better to be able to mark those accomplishments on the world map and see them every day on the wall of your house? I have the scratch-off world map from Maps International. All you need to do is scratch, using a coin, the countries you have traveled to. The scratched (visited) countries get highlighted in different colors. Your special one is going to love you for this gift. It also makes for an excellent collectible for travel lovers.

2. Cocktail kit
I am an occasional drinker (nearly a teetotaler now), but I so much wanted to have a carry on cocktail kit when I came across one online. I mean, how cool is that to make your cocktail while you are on the go. Each kit contains all the essentials required to craft two drinks. And guess what, the cocktail kit is TSA compliant, which means you can make and serve yourself a drink or two, even on the plane.
3. Snacks from around the world subscription
If you want to celebrate travel with your valentine every month, subscribing to the popular snacks from around the world would be a great option. There are many online platforms where you can subscribe, and they will deliver you popular snacks, biscuits, or sweets from a new country every month. So, you get a chance to enlighten your inner food lover with every surprise package. Doesn’t that make a superb travel-themed gift?

4. Survival bracelet
Does he/ she an outdoor adventure lover, hiker, or camper? If yes, then a survival bracelet is a perfect valentine gift for him/ her. The bracelet contains about 9-11 feet of unspliced paracord (a specialized kind of rope) and is considered extremely useful in emergency or survival situations. Geekey is another similar product that can prove to be a boon in a crisis.
5. Pocket shower
Another gift for the adventure as well as beach lovers is a pocket shower by seatosummit. You can hang the shower almost anywhere and take a quick shower after a tiring trek or sea bathing. The black fabric absorbs the sun during the day for an eight minute-ish shower. The pocket shower is easy to use with its on/off twist mechanism.
6. A cork globe
If your partner believes in living a sustainable lifestyle, the cork globe would surely make valentine’s day special for him/ her. You can stick pins on the places on the cork globe you have been to or planning to visit. The cork globe also makes a decorative for a travel lover’s home.

7. Map coasters
Map coasters would make a stylish ornament for your partner’s crockery shelf. Your partner can keep recharging himself/ herself with travel while having the meals. Even better, you can complement the coasters by gifting whisky map glasses. You can even get it customized with the maps of countries you have traveled to.
8. Air deck
If your partner is fond of games and amusement during the trips, and you have been falling short of ideas to keep him/ her entertained, Air deck is the perfect gift. The set of travel cards are waterproof, lightweight, durable, and compact. The quality of the cards is so excellent. You will think, why you used the regular deck ever?
9. Picnic basket
When was the last time you went for a picnic with your partner? It has been quite long, right? Get your love a picnic basket and rejoice in a romantic picnic with him/ her. One of the best gifts you can ever give to someone is your time. So, cook an exotic meal, pack it in the picnic basket, and drive to the countryside. This one is one of my favorite valentine’s day ideas.

10. Scratch-off bucket list poster
Quite similar to a scratch-off travel map, the scratch-off bucket list poster is a list of places that one should visit once in a lifetime, such as the Taj Mahal in India, Batu Caves in Malaysia, the Golden Circle in Iceland, etc. Gift this to your partner, if he/ she loves to keep track of all the incredible travels.
11. Travel guide book
If your partner is an avid reader, gift a travel guide book to him/ her and let her enjoy his/ her favorite destinations virtually while lazing on the couch. A destination guide book will save your time too. How? Well, you don’t have to do a lot of homework when traveling to that destination, your partner would have already done that for you.
12. Passport cover
Give your partner’s passport a quick makeover by gifting a passport cover. You can get it customized with your partner’s name, the name inItials, with plane stickers, etc. Some passport covers can look super fashionable and sleek. Some of these even include an RFID chip in them to protect your digital information.
13. Travel scrapbook
Make your valentine tell and relive the story of his/ her travels by gifting her a travel scrapbook. It is so much fun designing the scrapbook with your favorite memories from around the world. A travel scrapbook is a present that would always be close to his/her heart.
14. Staycation – a saver when you run out of valentine’s day ideas
Hold your partner over by planning a romantic staycation, with the best combination of privacy, luxury, and romance. Experience-based gifts create lasting memories without the clutter.
